Yulia Navalnaya Net Worth

Yulia Borisovna Navalnaya was born on July 24, 1976. She is a Russian economist and public figure.  Her estimated net worth is around $5 million.

As Alexei Navalny’s widow, Yulia Navalnaya has become an important figure in the Russian opposition. The media frequently refers to her as the “first lady” of the opposition.

Following her husband’s passing, Navalnaya committed to carrying on his mission. Starting July 1, 2024, she will serve as the chair of the Human Rights Foundation. She also leads the Anti-Corruption Foundation, an organization that Alexei founded in 2011.

Education and Early Life

Yulia Navalnaya’s father, Boris Aleksandrovich Abrosimov, was a scientist. Her mother, Alla Vladimirovna Abrosimova, worked in the Ministry of Light Industry.

When Yulia was in fifth grade, her parents divorced. Later, her mother remarried a man who worked for the USSR State Planning Committee.

In 2020, journalist Oleg Kashin claimed that Yulia’s biological father was Boris Borisovich Abrosimov, who worked for the Russian embassy in Great Britain. He also suggested that her father had ties to secret services and that her aunt, Elena Borisovna Abrosimova, helped draft the Russian Constitution. To disprove these claims, Alexei Navalny released a death certificate for Yulia’s father, which was dated 1996.

Yulia studied at the Plekhanov Russian Economic Academy, majoring in international economic relations. She later interned abroad and continued her education.

Personal Life

In the summer of 1998, Yulia Navalnaya went on a trip to Turkey. There, she met Alexei Navalny, a lawyer from Moscow. They got married in 2000. Later, they had a daughter and a son. She also helped Alexei’s parents with their basket-weaving business.

After 2007, Yulia stopped working at a job. She said she was “the main one in matters of everyday life and raising children.”

For two years, the officials did not let her visit Alexei. On February 16, 2024, the Russian prison service said that Alexei had died in prison.

Influence, Recognition, Awards, and Achievement

In 2015, Echo of Moscow named Yulia Navalnaya as one of the 100 most influential women in Russia, ranking her 67th. After Alexei Navalny got a suspended sentence, some people thought Yulia could run for president instead of him. Ksenia Sobchak, a Russian public figure, asked Navalny about this idea in 2018, but he said, “Votes are not handed over.”
